A collection of mainly short walks & excursions by foot on the Isle of Skye.
With care, these places ought to be accessible to most visitors who enjoy a good level of general fitness and who are adequately equipped and take sensible safety precautions.
There are several caves on Skye bearing this name, but our interest is in the cave on the end of the Strathaird peninsular where he spent time whilst waiting to leave the Island. The walk starts from Elgol Jetty.

This short but slightly more serious walk visits limestone sea cave immortalised by Sir Walter Scott in his poem The Lord of The Isles where he describes it as "Strath-aird's enchanted cell".
