This sea loch is a large bay, deeply indented even by Skye standards. At the western extreme is Idrigill Point and the sea stacks of Macleaod's Maiden's at the eastern side is Rubha nan Clach.
Idrigill Point is the distant headline, seen here from between Roskhill and Caroy.
A visit the Point to see Macleods Maidens involves a substantial walk from the village of Orbost.
Travelling from Dunvegan towards Sligachan, the Cuillin Hills gradually grow to dominate the scene directly in front of you. Sometimes the Cuillin can be a little shy! This is after all Eilean a' Cheò - The Misty Isle.
From the Loch Bracadale coastline, the road follows Glen Drynoch back towards Sligachan.
